Bon Appetit

Over the past two weeks I have noticed my appetite has picked up quite a bit. So as I sit here munching on some pretzels I'd thought I'd give a rundown on my typical food intake during a day and a peek into my snack drawer...

8:00 am - glass of water or two
8:15 am - bowl of cereal as I run out the door
8:30 am - glass of water
9:15 am - chicken biscuit and a coke
10:00 am - glass of water
10:45 am - snack (generally a granola bar) with water
12:30 pm - lunch consisting of protein, veggie and a fruit or whatever I can grab through the fast food window :) oh and a glass or two of water
2:00 pm - snack (pretzels, crackers, raisins, fruit, etc) and a glass of water
4:00 pm - snack (granola bar or two) with water
5:00 pm - glass of water
6:00 pm - glass of water on the way home
7:00 pm - dinner time (a meat, a veggie and a starch) with juice or gatorade
8:00 pm - glass of water
8:30 pm - glass of water
9:00 pm - peice of fruit or a bowl of cereal and water
9:30 pm - glass of water and we're off to bed

For those of you thinking that I drink a lot of water...YES I do...it generally equals out to about a gallon and a half a day. I've found that I can get dehydrated fast. So here's to McKenzie being three quarters of a pound this week, the length of a carrot and having to up the food intake because she's hungry all the time (hehe).

In other developments on WEEK 21 (besides the growing belly) I have found that I've grown very very attached to my daughter. Not that I wasn't before now, it just seems as though I find myself more and more in love with her everyday. She is a squirmin little thing and every time she kicks me I giggle and thoroughly enjoy it (for now anyways). I'm constantly talking to her and we listen to her heartbeat all the time. I simply can't wait to hold her in my arms and kiss her all over. On the note of kicking - she has full-blown kicks now. I call it her leaps and bounds. Daniel and I will lay in bed at night with our hands on my stomach just feeling her go at it. It's quite entertaining. And I'm finding that sleep is becoming more and more of a precious commodity. Other than that we are bracing ourselves for the relentless rain of Tropical Storm Fay which is headed our way. *Sigh* I'm so sick of the rain :(

I love this! You've got it down to a science! I just bring lots of snacks everyday and grab them when I can. Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow (8/20).
