Doctor's Orders
Last Friday I had my 4 week check-up at the doctor. The weekend before we had had a scare when I had started bleeding early Saturday morning and it kept getting worse. After spending time in Labor and Delivery and being sent home and resting for the remaining of the weekend it stopped. I had been waiting all week to talk to my doctor. They tested me for pre-term labor, weighed me and measured my tummy. We discussed my schedule and how I was exhausted and stressed. Thankfully my preterm labor test came back negative for now but the Doc told me I needed to cut the work hours way back or I would be heading down the preterm labor road. I had only gained a pound and half this past month when I should have at least gained 4. McKenzie is fine and my stomach is measuring right on track. I have officially cut my work hours to four hours a day starting next Monday. My boss has been so wonderfully understanding and has been flexible with my schedule. That will give me an extra hour of sleep in the morning and time enough in the afternoon to run errands, clean our house and cook myself good meals while Daniel is gone. I have to take care of myself and McKenzie! I knew my stress was affecting her but I guess I just didn't know how much. We don't need any more visits to Labor and Delivery for a while or to be put on bedrest any time soon. We want her to bake in there a little while longer :) In a McKenzie update though...she almost weighs 2lbs this week and is putting on the baby fat. She is growing hair and if we could see a picture we'd know what color it is. Any guesses? I'd say just about anything is fair game. She's still a mover and her movements are becoming bigger now...as my whole stomach seems to shift. She loves her Daddy and responds to his touch and his voice. I'm hoping that in this next four weeks that my stress is minimal, I get enough rest for the both of us (naps sound good to me) and I gain some more weight (never thought those words would come out of my mouth LOL).

Glad you get to rest before the baby comes, and we should hang out sometime next week, let me know when it's good for you
Mandie! I will definitely be praying for you and McKenzie! I hope you start to feel better soon!
