I am so thankful to have my fellow military spouses - my dear friends. Army life can sometimes be lonely and I find it a little more lonely now that we are in recruiting and not living near an Army Post. But then again...the only constant thing in the Army is change. Along with the changes I find that one thing remains the same...the bond between spouses. I was blessed this week to have spent my Thursday with two of them. Michelle, who is currently living in Germany with her husband Chris (he's currently deployed), came over for lunch. It was nice getting to catch up since the last time we saw eachother was almost two years ago. We chat through emails and such but it was encouraging listening to the stories of our lives. How they are so different and how the Army in itself has taken us down different paths but yet we are still living the Army wife life.
Last night Danielle (future Army wife to be) and her fiance Joseph joined us for dinner. The boys talked Infantry and the girls talked wedding, deployments and housing LOL. They are being stationed at Ft. Stewart and talking about it made me a bit nostalgic. It was a great time - and of course Daniel got to "grill out" again which always makes him happy.
My two cool grillin cats :)
So here's to my Military spouses! All of my friends who are living the life, loving a soldier. We may live a life of separation, hard work and loneliness at times but we live of a life of honor, strength and pride! Here we are America...the backbone of your military!
That's my little miss hollywood -
I couldn't help but put a picture of her in my post.
