Obviously the snow is cold haha! We treked out this morning...armed and ready...and quickly trying to finish all of our errands. Daniel checked his weather channel app oh only about a bazillion times giving us updates on the impending snow about every 10 minutes. We successfully signed our taxes, got my blood drawn at the hospital (which only took an hour and a half - sense the sarcasm) and grabbed some Chick-A-Lay, delivered Mary Kay products, saw MawMaw & Pop, put McKenzie down for a nap at YaYa's and Grandaddy's, had a chiropractic adjustment, went to Walmart, dropped by the Sleep Number store for a new pillow (for me! thanks for the Valentine present honey - even though I still haven't figured out if it's more for me or for you), grabbed lunched at ABC and then the snow hit. PERFECT TIMING! All that was left was to pick McKenzie up and head home. We stayed and played in the snow with Aunt Emme, Uncle Brett and Maci (or as McKenzie says "Eya"). By the time we started home the snow was coming down. The closer we got to Newnan the slushier the roads were. Thank goodness we got home sooner than later. We have equipped ourselves with bottled water, logs for the fireplace, batteries for the flashlights, candles, warm blankets and yummy food just in case :) Yes, I'm always prepared for the worst case scenario and Yes, it drives my husband bananas! We played around the house with McKenzie for a while and then I made a home-made chicken alfredo pizza and popped it in the oven. Granna surprised us with a visit just as we were about to take McKenzie to play in the snow.
After she was all bundled up we headed out.
She didn't really care for the snow to hit her in the face but enjoyed the snow. She squealed with delight with Ella running around her in the snow. Daniel and I enjoyed a snowball fight (which I totally won!) and then made our soldier snowman. Isn't he handsome? McKenzie helped. Pictures were taken and snow was brushed off as we headed back inside to eat our warm pizza out of the oven. McKenzie had her bath and is now fast asleep in her room...dreaming of snowflakes I hope. Daniel and I are about to sit down and enjoy 'The Time Traveler's Wife' on PPV. Perfect evening. The plan for tomorrow: wake up and play in the snow some more!
