Baby Update

The official due date: December 29

Daniel and I went to the doctor this morning. After reviewing my chart the doctor has decided that the baby is right now at a "slight" high risk putting me at the same. All is fine, she is just concerned about our baby having a heart defect since I had one. We denied all the first trimester and second trimester testing for down syndrome, CF and a few others. Daniel and I decided against it since we wouldn't terminate the pregnancy, God is in control and we love our baby. The doctor told me to stay hydrated at all times and to not stand on my feet for long periods of time. Oh darn I guess I get out of doing those pesky dishes (LOL). No but in all seriousness she's concerned about me fainting so I have to be extra careful. She used the doppler today and was unsure that we could hear the heartbeat through it at 10 weeks. Sure enough though our little baby has a strong heartbeat because we were able to hear it. It was a joyful sound! Oh and thank goodness I was given the A-OK to take Zantac for the acid reflux and heartburn...it's been a nightmare.
Daniel and I are on our way to Florida tomorrow...to the beach we go! We are very excited and can't wait. Unfortunately Daniel can only stay for the weekend but I'll be soaking up the sand all week. Which means I better get to packing and finishing up the laundry. Til next week....
