A Married Couple for a Couple

Tuesday was our 2nd Anniversary. I woke up with Daniel at 5am and as I watched him crawl out of bed I was blessed. Joy filled my heart. After he left for work I started thinking about our journey together. From when we started dating to present. I was amazed looking back how much we've grown together. Last year was hard by no stretch of the imagination. But over the past few years we've had together I suddenly realized that the hardest thing I ever had to do from the very beginning was say goodbye. Having said goodbye I was able to say hello. Hello to our life together, to reality, to love. I wouldn't trade all of our goodbye's and separations because our love grew steady and strong. We learned how to communicate with one another. And if we hadn't said goodbye we wouldn't have had the reunions we have had and the love that we share today.
This year to celebrate we went to dinner at Red Lobster.

As we stuffed ourselves with cheese biscuits and shrimp we reminisced about our wedding day. We were eating dinner at the exact time our wedding had started two years before. We shared how we each felt and laughed about all the silly things and joked if we had to do it all over again we'd elope (hehe). We remembered how "real" our wedding vows were with Daniel's upcoming deployment 6 months later. We talked about the future and our baby. The time together was the best. Later we went to the mall and shopped for maternity clothes and Father's day cards. Isn't it amazing how you can spend like an hour in the card store hysterically laughing at the cards. It was the perfect ending to our day. It was us just being us.

Happy anniversary, it's nice you guys were able to celebrate at the same time you got married.
