The Time is Here!

It's the beginning of October and with it we have begun the "transition" phase! Daniel is off to recruiting school. I feel like we've made progress in our countdown and we are no longer waiting or standing still. With it though means a WHOLE lot has to happen in three months. I know God is in control and we are trusting in Him to provide.

This past weekend, Daniel and I had fun shopping for some "special projects" I've started for McKenzie (posts to follow with details). We ate at our favorite "date" place - Texas Roadhouse - and enjoyed every minute of it :) YUMMY. When we got home I made us a yellow cake with halloween funfetti icing...as a going away present. It was delicious and gave all three of us a sugar rush right before bed LOL.

Daniel and I had a good laugh this weekend as well. As he prepared his bags for recruiting school we realized that we truly are an infantry family. All he had to take was his uniforms, pens, pencils and notebooks really. It was so weird not seeing his gear strewn all over the place as he packs it up. He decided to shave his head too. He's wanted to do it for quite some time I just wasn't sure I wanted a husband with a shaved head but since he was leaving he went ahead and did it.

It doesn't look too bad but I still think I prefer him with a little bit of hair left on his head :) We said our goodbyes early this morning after eating eggs and bacon for breakfast and he was off. Welcome to the transition phase!
