McKenzie's 3 Months Old!

I know this post is a few days late but my baby girl is 3 months old :) She's getting so big so fast! She weighs almost 14lbs these days...it will give anyone's arms a good workout hehe.

The past few weeks have been a little rough for us. We all caught a touch of the flu/bronchitis. Daniel and I had it rough for a few days and thankfully McKenzie just had a minor minor case. We are all better now and back into the swing of things.

McKenzie is so much fun these days and I'm so thankful that I get to spend my days with her. She is quite a little chatterbox and as Daddy says "You just take after your mama!"

I have to say you know you've trained your daughter well when you put her in the carseat and say "you want to go to Target" and her grin is as big as Texas and a giggle shortly follows. Of course the funny part was the "oh goodness" and sigh that came out of Daniel's mouth haha. And for those of you that might not have known...my daughter is a wiggler! Some things never change I suppose considering she's been moving and wiggling around since the moment she was created. McKenzie constantly moved in my tummy...so much so that it would scare me when she was still for more than an hour. These days she's on the go - it kind of scares me when I think about her when she's older...YIKES... she's going to keep me on my toes. When she's laying on her back she gets this big look of excitment and gives me this face like watch me mommy and then she moves every part of her body in one fell swoop...it's quite entertaining. She's been doing so well sleeping through the night. The past few nights she's been waking up at 4 to eat but I think that is just because we are slowly but surely backing up her evening schedule. Instead of eating at 11 she's been eating around 10 and going to sleep by 11, therefore she's waking up earlier in the morning. She has discovered ceiling fans and is completely enamored with them.

And drum roll please...she's discovered her feet. She will just sit there and stare at them and she tries to reach but she can't quite yet.

To close, I wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to our friends Bethany and Chad on the birth of their son Isaac on Tuesday! He's so precious and looks just like his mommy. It's hard to believe that McKenzie was EVER that little and well it's true what they say - you see a newborn and it makes you want another one...ah and then it passes...and I come to my senses and think maybe another baby one day. Besides, we are still waiting for Baby Akin to arrive ;)
